It’s a circular route of about 600km that runs along the coast and amidst the mountains of one of Italy’s largest national parks, the Cilento and Vallo del Diano national park. The Via Silente cycling trail is in fact the first cycling path in Italy to cross a protected area. Divided into 15 stages, with an optional stage that takes you to the summit of Mount Cervati, the Via Silente cycling trail owes its name to the sound of the places it passes through, where silence reigns supreme and only nature can be heard. The trail starts in Castelnuovo Cilento and crosses flatland, forests, lush valleys, and quaint medieval villages. It’s accessible to everybody and can be explored by mountain bike or e-bike.
